Donald Trump sought to flex his pro-life credentials in this week’s third and final presidential debate by painting a gruesome picture of late term abortion. He claimed that his rival, Hillary Clinton, would allow doctors to 'rip the baby out of the womb' just days before birth.
The presidential candidate, who has jumped gamely between various positions on abortion – from declaring himself pro-choice to calling for “some sort of punishment” for women who have abortions (before rowing back on that one too) – also said he would appoint judges who would overturn Roe v Wade, America’s constitutional right to abortion.
