Court refusal clears the way for change in abortion law

Leo Varadkar has confirmed that abortion will be available in Ireland in January after the Supreme Court cleared the way for the law to the changed.
The court yesterday refused to hear a further appeal by a Dublin woman to challenge the abortion referendum result. It said Joanna Jordan’s grounds of appeal were “unstateable” and based on “flimsy” evidence.
