GPs sign petition calling for meeting over abortion legislation
Some GPs are critical of the Government for not considering 'genuine concerns' over freedom of conscience

Hundreds of GPs have signed a petition calling on the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP) to convene an Extraordinary General Meeting to ensure that all views are reflected in discussions around abortion legislation.

Committee stage of the Regulation of Termination of Pregnancy Bill will begin in the Oireachtas next week, when amendments will be discussed.
