The Ivano-Frankivsk District Administrative Court upheld the lawsuit of local resident Olha Kukula and annulled the decision of the city council, in which deputies called on the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada, and the Cabinet of Ministers to initiate constitutional amendments banning abortion. This was reported by Zaxid.net.
According to the court decision dated October 29, 2025, the plaintiff argued that the adopted appeal did not fall within the jurisdiction of a local government body, interfered with women’s rights, and was based on a letter from the Ivano-Frankivsk Archeparchy of the UGCC, which lacked a specific addressee.
